The Foundation Plays an Important Role in M–A’s Community

The Foundation for the Future unites current parents, grandparents, parents of grads, alumni, community members, businesses and foundations to support excellence in education at Menlo-Atherton High School. We raise funds to pay salaries for key M–A personnel and to sustain and enrich valuable M–A programs, ensuring that all students can reach their highest potential.

To Celebrate our 25th Anniversary,
Let’s Get Engaged and Raise $2.5M for M-A Students!

Together we can…

…ignite student creativity

New this year, the Foundation is funding two sections of Debate.

…support academic excellence

Thanks to the Foundation, M-A is able to offer three levels of Computer Science, including AP courses.

…serve the evolving needs of our diverse student body

This past summer, the Foundation underwrote Honors Institute and Compass, giving over 200 students a strong start at M-A.

Founded in 1992, the Foundation for the Future has funded vital academic programs for the past 25 years that have steadily improved student performance. Designated a 2013 and 2007 California Distinguished School, M–A today is among the top-ranked high schools in the country and the future is bright. The generous support of our donors advances our Foundation’s goal of providing a better educational experience for every M–A student by funding smaller class sizes, an expanded course offering, professional development for our teachers, college and career prep, and essential programs and services.

The Foundation is the only fundraising group at M-A that is able to pay salaries for teachers and staff.

This year alone, we will provide $2,500,000, over 13% of M-A’s budget, to fulfill our commitment-to support the salaries of key teachers, academic support personnel and college counseling staff.
